This course is designed to develop and enhance students’ English listening skills through practical exercises and strategic approaches. Aimed at beginner to intermediate learners, the course focuses on improving comprehension, recognising key information, and developing the ability to understand different accents, speech patterns, and contexts.
Students will explore a variety of listening materials, including dialogues, interviews, podcasts, and academic lectures. They will also engage in activities that promote active listening, note-taking, and inference skills. The course will introduce strategies for dealing with fast speech, unfamiliar vocabulary, and different levels of formality in spoken English.
